Early Life and Family Background
Chandran was born on 7th June 1991 to a poor farming family in Rajakkamangalam village, Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu, India. His villagers taught him the sport when he was a child. Since the sport was popular in his village, he was inspired to pursue it and excel at it.
He began playing the sport and quickly became known for his raiding abilities. His local elders assisted him in enrolling at the Alathankarai, one of the best sports centers and teams in the district.
Adulthood
Coach Ravi, who was instrumental in his kabaddi career, was his mentor at the academy. He began representing the academy in events at the domestic and district levels within a few years.
Later, he entered the Pro Kabaddi League’s selection trials in 2014 and was fortunate enough to be chosen for the tournament.
