He missed three seasons of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League owing to a significant back injury after finishing third in the list of top raiders in the debut season in 2014. Maninder later overcame this adversity in Season 5, doing well in domestic games and returning to the PKL in Season 5 with the same aggressive style and flair.

  • With the help of his coach, he made his debut in the inaugural season of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League in 2014, for the Rajasthan-based team Jaipur Pink Panthers.
