Ravinder was born on December 7, 1990, into a middle-class agricultural family in Haryana, India. At a young age, he was inspired by the strength of his local elders and fell in love with the sport. He began playing professionally with his buddies at a young age, acquiring the basics of the sport from local elders.

He was fortunate to get chosen for the Haryana kabaddi team after years of hardship. In 2014, he qualified for the Pro Kabaddi League, which brought him national attention.
